📚🏈 Drop Everything and READ! 🏈📚 Students in Mrs. Abell’s and Mrs. Mooney’s classes enjoyed some special DEAR time (Drop Everything and Read) as they worked toward their ReadBowl challenge! Even Mrs. Glass joined in, making it extra fun to see students and teachers learning and reading side by side. 💙✨ This cozy reading time helped our Cubs shine as Empowered Learners and Effective Communicators, while celebrating a shared love of books together. Moments like these show how reading truly brings our school community together! 📖🐾 We love opportunities to love, learn, and lead—one book at a time! 💙📚

🏈📚 READBowl Champions in the Making! 📚🏈 Ms. Miles’s 2nd grade Cubs wrapped up Quarter 1 of the READBowl in an exciting way by teaming up with SCHS football players! Working together as Active Collaborators, students celebrated reading success with encouragement, teamwork, and lots of smiles. 💙🐾 This special visit inspired our Cubs to keep growing as Empowered Learners and Engaged Citizens, showing that reading and teamwork go hand in hand! Way to love, learn, and lead, Cubs! 🏆📖

❄️☃️ SNOW Much Fun in Mrs. Blumeier’s Class! ☃️❄️ Learning was cool yesterday! Mrs. Blumeier’s Cubs read Snowflake Bentley, explored fascinating facts about snowflakes, and practiced their Fry Words in the most fun way — with a snowball fight! ⛄📖 Before tossing a “snowball,” students had to read the word, showing off their skills as Effective Communicators and Empowered Learners. Working together and cheering each other on, they were also great Active Collaborators! 🎯✨ At SCES, we love when learning is hands-on, joyful, and full of laughter — just another day to love, learn, and lead! 💙🐾

🛍️💡 Market Day Magic in 5th Grade! 💡🛍️ Last week, our 5th graders hosted their annual Market Day, and it was a huge success! Students created their own booths to sell items and services, while fellow 5th graders and teachers stopped by to shop and support their hard work. 💵🎨 Throughout the day, our Cubs shined as Effective Communicators while marketing their products, Problem Solvers as they handled pricing and decision-making, and Empowered Learners as they took ownership of their businesses. This hands-on experience also showcased them as Engaged Citizens, learning real-world skills in a fun and meaningful way! 🌟 We love watching our Cubs love, learn, and lead—one sale at a time! 🐾💙

🎅🎄 Pajama Day + Santa = The Perfect Ending to Rudolph Week! 🎄🎅 Our Cubs wrapped up Rudolph Week in the coziest way possible with Pajama Day and a special visit from Santa himself! 💤✨🎁 Smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer filled the halls as we celebrated together. Through the fun, our students shined as Engaged Citizens and Effective Communicators, sharing joy, kindness, and excitement with friends and staff. Moments like these remind us how special it is to celebrate as a school family. 💙🐾 We love opportunities to love, learn, and lead—especially during such magical moments! ❄️✨

🎄🍪 Gingerbread Day Magic! 🍪🎄 What a sweet and successful Gingerbread Day in Mrs. Lawton's classroom yesterday! The students truly shined as Active Collaborators and Problem Solvers as they planned their gingerbread designs, budgeted for materials, and made thoughtful changes along the way. 💡📐 Creativity was everywhere as our Cubs worked together, shared ideas as Effective Communicators, and brought their gingerbread creations to life. From math and planning to reflection and teamwork, this hands-on experience was packed with meaningful learning — and lots of holiday fun! ✨🏠 We are so proud of our Empowered Learners and the enthusiasm they brought to the day. This is what it looks like when we love, learn, and lead at SCES!
